And in a completely unrelated note, I wanted to throw out a special mention of the great John Gagliardi. John has retired as coach of St Johns football after 60 years. His 489 wins boggles the mind. If you were 25 years old and began coaching next season and averaged 9 wins per year, you would need to still be coaching in the year 2068 to reach this amazing milestone. The people he has touched would fill Clemons Stadium countless times over. His style, his philosophy, his mindset is unique to only John. The likes of this wonderful person and coach will likely never be seen again on the Saturday afternoon sidelines. Here’s hoping that John will be around for many years to come. Enjoy retirement, John, and God Bless you.
